ORIGIN: Found in Australia and New Guinea as a miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte where it grows on the bark of the melaleuca tree [a major pest tree in South Florida so cut one down and mount a Dendrobium] at sea-level to 500 meters in altitude.

DESCRIPTION: A miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte that grows on the bark of the melaleuca tree [a major pest tree in South Florida so cut one down and mount a Dendrobium] at sea-level to 500 meters in altitude with fusiform, enveloped in sheaths, sulcate with age canes carrying 2 to 6, towards the apex, linear, subcylindrical, very fleshy, grooved on the upper side, acute leaves. They bloom from midwinter till mid spring on an erect to arcuate, 4 to 16 [10 to 40 cm] long, axillary, densely many flowered, racemose inflorescence arising from the nodes near the apex of each old and new growth, each carrying fragrant flowers that love high light, humidity and regular waterings till winter when it should be slowed down.
