Bulbophyllum obovatifolium

Found in New Guinea on trees in forests at elevations around 200 to 300 meters as a miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with cylindrical pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, obovate obovate-ligulate, obtuse, narrowing below into the subpetioalte base leaf that blooms in the spring and fall on a thin 4 to 6 cm long, few bracted, single flowered inflorescence.
Schlechter states that the flowers arebrightly colored, the dorsal sepal is yellow the laterals are red with yellow tips, the petals and lip are pale yellow, the latter streaked with brown.
